The two major announcements being advertised for tonight's episode of WWE NXT will likely revolve around the creation of new Women's Tag Team Titles and a two-night TakeOver special.
This is according to Sports Illustrated's Justin Barrasso, who reported yesterday evening that his sources have told him as much:-
That TakeOver could be for WrestleMania 37 weekend. The Showcase of the Immortals goes down in Tampa, Florida on Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 April, so WWE could conceivably host one part in the usual Wednesday night slot on USA and the second on Friday.
WWE Network makes its full transition to Peacock on 4 April. If WWE does hold part one of NXT TakeOver that Wednesday, it could be the brand's last show in that timeslot before moving to Tuesdays from 13 April, as has been reported.
New NXT Women's Tag Team Championships were first reported by Dave Meltzer last week. Their creation would come following Dakota Kai and Raquel Gonzalez being screwed out of the mainline Women's Tag Titles last week, following a referee swap.
Two huge title fights are also on deck for tonight's show, with NXT Champion Finn Balor defending against Adam Cole and Women's Champion Io Shirai vs. Toni Storm.
