WWE is cooking-up a two-night title fight for WrestleMania 37...
Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax will defend the WWE Women's Tag Team Championships on night two of WrestleMania 37 (11 April), reports PWInsider's Mike Johnson.
Current plans call for Baszler and Jax's opponents to be determined by a multi-team battle royal the night before. This could consist of around four teams, though Johnson notes that WWE may change its mind on that.
There's no word on which specific tandems will be involved, though Baszler and Jax have interacted heavily with Lana and Naomi and Dana Brooke and Mandy Rose on Raw. It'd be a big surprise if neither duo featured in the battle royal.
Jax and Baszler are currently 59 days into their second run with the Women's Tag Team Championships. This reign has encompassed defences over Bianca Belair and Sasha Banks, Dakota Kai and Raquel Gonzalez, and more since the duo took the straps back from Asuka and Charlotte Flair, who had ended their first reign at TLC 2020 one month prior.
A non-title match will play out when Baszler and Jax face Asuka and Rhea Ripley on next week's Raw. Asuka puts her Raw Women's Title on the line against Ripley at 'Mania.
