Starrcast File "Dead Man Talking" Trademark For The Undertaker
Is 'The Deadman' set to enter the podcasting realm?
The Undertaker's name has barely left wrestling media headlines over the past few weeks, with news of his impending appearance at the AEW-adjacent Starrcast II this May and Vince McMahon's reported fury at the announcement sparking rumours that 'The Deadman's' wrestling days were finally down.
Now, in a move sure to get the global wrestling fanbase talking once again, Starrcast, LLC have filed a trademark for "Dead Man Talking."
The trademark's description mentions "personal appearances by a professional wrestling and sports entertainment personality," including "providing podcasts." This has already led to obvious rumours of Undertaker entering the podcasting realm, though there's a strong chance that Starrcast have only filed the Dead Man Talking trademark as a means of marketing his upcoming appearance at the Double Or Nothing weekend conference.
Whatever the case, it's clear that 'Taker is at least partly focused on exploring opportunities away from WWE. Starrcast could yet face legal trouble amidst reports that Vince McMahon will sue organiser Conrad Thompson for use of Mark Calaway's ring name, but there's little that the WWE Chairman can do to stop his Starrcast appearance from happening, as the odds of a WrestleMania 35 match shrink by the day.
