The Wrestling Observer is reporting that WWE's angle involving Stephanie Vaquer and members of Judgment Day from Monday's episode of Raw was designed to write Vaquer off TV for a while due to a second degree AC sprain that lead announcer Michael Cole referenced on commentary.

Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez ambushed the former Women's World Champion backstage during this week's flagship. The pair bashed a big equipment box into Vaquer's shoulder, then Cole revealed that Stephanie "would be out for a bit".

Bryan Alvarez reports that this stems from the injury issues Vaquer faced heading into her WrestleMania 42 match vs. Liv Morgan. Royal Rumble winner Liv won that bout and snagged the Women's World Championship, thus bringing Vaquer's own reign to an end after 210 days.

According to Alvarez and the Observer, it isn't known exactly when Steph suffered the shoulder injury, but she could be on the injured list for a while. On the plus side, at least Vaquer was able to grit her teeth through the pain and soldier on long enough to work her first singles showing at 'Mania.

That had to be a big deal for her, and it was later explained post-show that the Vaquer vs. Morgan match was so short due to injury worries for both behind the curtain.

Stay tuned for more word on when Stephanie Vaquer will be able to make her return to screens. WWE won't want her to be out for too long, but Vaquer's overall health is clearly the priority here.
