WWE.com have confirmed that Sting will be inducted into the WWE Hall Of Fame this year. The WCW icon could be the main attraction inductee from the Class Of 2016 ceremony, which will once again take part the night before WrestleMania. The fifty six year old certainly deserves it, after a three decade career in which he was at one point the biggest star in the industry. Indeed, his WCW days saw him quickly become the franchise star of that company, firstly as the bleach blonde Sting of the early nineties, and again as the crow Sting of the later nineties. Not only was he a fantastic character, he was also a talented in-ring worker. His bouts with Ric Flair are the stuff of legend, and he ended up winning several World Championship belts. Eventually signing with WWE in 2014, Sting had a good match with Triple H at WrestleMania 31, and a not so good match with Seth Rollins for the WWE Championship at Night Of Champions 2015. Due to the disappointing nature of that match, and the neck injury he suffered in it, there have been rumours that Sting is now ready to retire. His Hall Of Fame induction could well be the confirmation that his in-ring days are over.
