AEW founder and owner Tony Khan all but confirmed there will be a surprise entrant in All Out 2021's Women's Casino Battle Royale this Sunday (5 September), doing so during yesterday's media conference call.

Khan ended up speaking on the match when asked about the women's division's growth and development, comparing this year's talent pool favourably to that which populated the first Women's Casino Battle Royale at All Out 2019. After announcing Riho as the match's 20th participant, he said he had "something pretty fun planned" for a surprise, with one spot in the match still up for grabs.

AEW traditionally saves Casino Battle Royale surprise for the Joker spot towards the end of the bout. Lio Rush, Matt Sydal, Mercedes Martinez, and more have occupied that role as the final entrant in the past.

One name consistently linked with AEW since leaving WWE three months ago is Ruby Soho, the former Ruby Riott, who will enter All Out as the betting favourite.
