Tag Team Match Added To WWE Money In The Bank

Can the Prime Time Players finally win tag team gold?

The Prime Time Players duo of Darren Young and Titus O'Neil have earned themselves a WWE Tag Team Title match at WWE Money in the Bank on June 14 when they face the Tag Team Champions, The New Day. Young and O'Neil earned their spot by winning a triple threat match on SmackDown against The Ascension and Lucha Dragons, which wasn't much of a surprise. The Prime Time Players also were the runners up during the Elimination Chamber match on Sunday and then won a six man tag on Raw. It's typical WWE booking where they want to try to build a team up so that they can become legitimate contenders. The New Day have done a great job as champions since they won the belts at Extreme Rules in April. The trio of Big E, Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods are very entertaining as heels. Kingston is also part of the Money in the Bank ladder match, so it will probably be Woods and Big E working this match. As for the PTPers, they have never been the Tag Team Champions before and with the crowd rooting them on, they might break through to finally win the gold for the first time. It wouldn't be a bad idea because it would be a nice reward for hard work. Plus, O'Neil recently won an award for being a Father of the Year, so it wouldn't be a bad idea to put some gold on him soon since he represents WWE so well.
The WWE tag team division is in a good place right now. More teams are stepping up as contenders and they are getting more TV time, so there are reasons for optimism.
