With IMPACT Wrestling having last week recorded enough content to see them through another seven weeks of television, there’s now word that the company’s biggest star was absent from said tapings.

Courtesy of The Wrestling Observer, IMPACT World Champion Tessa Blanchard did not attend this most recent set of tapings. For those keeping track, Tessa was due to defend her title against Eddie Edwards and Michael Elgin in a triple threat contest that was to air as part of the company’s two-night Rebellion special.

It’s believed that Blanchard made the decision not to travel for these Nashville tapings, with concerns over the ongoing global chaos seemingly the main factor in all of this.

While nobody can throw shade at Tessa for opting out of these tapings, that does mean that the most anticipated match of Rebellion is off – or at least postponed for the foreseeable future.

There’s no confirmation right now on exactly which talents did partake in this latest bout of tapings, but Ken Shamrock vs. Sami Callihan is still being advertised to headline the first of Rebellion’s two nights. Likewise, we know that any Canada-based talents were not available for these tapings due to travel restrictions.
