Despite becoming three-time TNA Tag Team Champions at Bound for Glory last month, Matt and Jeff Hardy's latest run in TNA Wrestling has been without a formal contract in place. That is, until now.

In a story first reported by Sports Illustrated, and since followed up by a TNA press release, the Hardys have re-signed with TNA. While the length of these deals has not been detailed by SI or TNA, Fightful Select reports that both Matt and Jeff have penned one-year contracts with TNA.

The official word from TNA on this reads as below:

TNA Wrestling confirmed today that it has re-signed Jeff & Matt Hardy, aka, The Hardys – the reigning TNA World Tag Team Champions, as first reported by Sports Illustrated.

Brothers Jeff & Matt Hardy have been wrestling professionally since 1993, holding countless championships over the decades. In fact, WWE named The Hardys as one of the greatest tag teams in WWE history. Jeff and Matt are the only team to have held the WWE/World, WCW, TNA, ROH, Raw and SmackDown Tag Team Championships. Revolutionary and fearless, Jeff and Matt are known for their energetic, high-risk approach to pro wrestling. In 2003, Jeff & Matt co-wrote an autobiographical book of memoirs; their book was a New York Times best-seller.

The Hardys won their third TNA World Tag Team Championship in October, defeating previous champions The System (Eddie Edwards and Brian Myers) and ABC (Ace Austin and Chris Bey) at Bound for Glory in a Full Metal Mayhem match.

Additionally, this latest TNA deal for the Hardys allows them to work independent dates, such as their upcoming House of Glory date on 20 December.

The Hardys In TNA

One of the greatest tag teams of all time, the Hardys are no strangers to TNA Wrestling, be that as a team or as singles acts, and be that as TNA or as IMPACT.

It was Jeff Hardy who was the first of the legendary brothers to appear in TNA, debuting for the promotion in 2004. That run would last until 2006, but Jeff would return to the company in 2010. It was in 2011, though, that Matt Hardy would join his brother in TNA for the first time. It was also Matt who kicked off this latest 2024 TNA stint for the Hardys, returning at TNA Rebellion back in April. By June of this year, Jeff would once again be at his brother's side.

While the Hardys obviously had many great years with WWE, TNA is a special place for the iconic duo. Not just are they three-time TNA Tag Team Champions, but both men are former TNA World Champions. Added to that, it was in TNA where Matt Hardy created his Broken persona and the wider Broken universe, while his time in TNA also allowed Jeff Hardy to change things up by bringing his Willow character to TV. And now, TNA fans get to enjoy the Hardys for, as per that Fightful report, at least another year.
