When the sun finally sets on the Hall of Fame career of Chris Jericho, professional wrestling fans of my age will look back and thank whomever they must that we were able to be party to the evolution of such a legendary performer. Jericho will surely go down as one of the greatest of all times, and we've grown up with him.

It has been said that the key to longevity in any art form is the ability to change with the times, and Jericho has proved himself more than adept at this. He has been wrestling since 1990, with his debut coming in Extreme Championship Wrestling in 1995. He quickly moved to World Championship Wrestling before finally ending up in the World Wrestling Federation, where Y2J has been ever since.

That makes it almost 26 years of professional wrestling and 21 in a large audience. That is one hell of a career, and looking back at it really drives this home. Jericho has tweaked his persona on a number of occasions, and whilst it hasn't always been a grand success it is this willingness to try that sets him apart from his peers.

So from Lionheart to trolling audiences, here are the faces of Chris Jericho ranked from worst to best.

10. Cool Dad Chris Jericho

Over the last decade, Chris Jericho has left and returned to the WWE on a number of occasions. Initially his returns were greeted with energy and joy, but over time this began to dissipate. With each passing return jericho seemed to be slipping more and more into 'part time veteran taking a spot' rather than 'experienced head to assist younger talent'.

The Chris Jericho that initially returned at the beginning of 2016 was the worst version of Chris Jericho. For lifelong Jerichoholics it was difficult to watch, as it seemed that Jericho was more interested in catchphrases and outfits than any interesting character-work.

Now, if Jericho was portraying a heel this would all be acceptable under an obnoxious umbrella, but as a babyface it left fans a little conflicted as to why they should cheer him. A number of Jericho's returns over the last two years have been in the babyface role, and most will agree that this is the weaker of his two suits.
