Shane promises a "best in the world beating"

Shane McMahon announced on last night's SmackDown Live that he'll face former tag team partner The Miz at WrestleMania 35.

Shane viciously attacked the man he used to call his "co-bestie" following their SmackDown Tag Team Championship loss to The Usos at Fastlane on Sunday, and subsequently announced on last night's show that as his boss, he'd booked 'The A-Lister' to face 'The Best in the World' on The Grandest Stage of Them All.

It's been a rollercoaster few months for the pair, who first united following the WWE World Cup tournament at WWE Crown Jewel. McMahon was crowned 'Best in the World' after replacing an injured Miz in the final against Dolph Ziggler, and the duo then declared it was a shared title between them, due to Miz's efforts in the quarter and semi-finals.

After uniting as a tag team, at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view they defeated Cesaro & Sheamus to be crowned SmackDown tag team champions, a title they went on to lose against The Usos at Elimination Chamber.

Failure to win the championships back at Fastlane caused Shane to snap, and this highly personal rivalry will culminate at WrestleMania 35.
