The Rascalz Departing Impact Wrestling
Evicted from the treehouse, evicted from Impact Wrestling.
As was revealed on last night's edition of Impact Wrestling, The Rascalz will be departing the promotion following next Tuesday's show.
Per a report from Mike Johnson of PWInsider, the departure of Trey Miguel, Dez, and Wentz is a legitimate goodbye, with no ill will between The Rascalz and Impact Wrestling. Their final Impact appearance next week will see Dez and Wentz colliding with Miguel and the reigning World Champion, Rich Swann.
Having been a mainstay in Impact for the past two years, the trio has been responsible for some of the most jaw-dropping moments in the company during that time. It was at this year's Slammiversary where Trey first used one of his many innovative powerslide manoeuvres.
Even though none of them ever tasted championship gold in their Impact careers, they all had successful points. Trey rose up this year to challenge for both the World and X Division Championships, Dez was the winner of the 2017 Super X Cup before The Rascalz were even a thing, and Wentz had a star-making performance opposite Ace Austin this past June.
The sheer outpouring of support from fans and wrestlers alike following this news just shows how much they impacted the company, both onscreen and backstage. Impact Wrestling won't be the same without them.
