The Rock Describes Lucha Underground As "Cool And Gritty"

Will The Great One ever visit the Temple?

The Rock is a big fan of Lucha Underground. Yes, really. The Hollywood A-lister and part time grappler replied to a tweet sent by independent star Ricochet, who coincidently appears on Lucha Underground as Prince Puma. Ricochet told The Great One he should check out the show if he wasn't busy. https://twitter.com/KingRicochet/status/689963891443499008?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw Out of the blue somewhat, Rocky replied: "Gonna watch. Show looks cool & gritty. Robert Rodriguez is a good bud and his content is dope. #LuchaUnderground." https://twitter.com/TheRock/status/689978459666436096?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw Rodriguez, for those of you that don't know, is a filmmaker and the owner of the El Rey network that Lucha Underground airs on. Lucha Underground is a brand that is still trying to establish itself in the US market. Their second season - yes, they produce their shows like a television series - starts on January 27. The first season proved to be an unadulterated hit, gaining countless plaudits for the look and feel of the show. It's just different from any wrestling show you've seen before. There's little doubting that Rodriguez's background greatly influences from a production standpoint. That initial response from The Rock led to countless replies from Lucha stars, with the likes of Son of Havoc and Melissa Santos sending their approval.
