The Undertaker's 10 Cringiest Moments
2. Killing Paul Bearer
Take nothing away from Hall of Famer William Moody, the man behind the iconic Paul Bearer persona, who will surely go down as one of WWE's most memorable out-of-ring performers. The haunted appearance, the inch-perfect facial expressions, the shrill, piercing shrieks - the man was a master of his craft. This, however, was a liberty too many.
At the 2004 edition of The Great American Bash (an event for which WWE seldom brought their A-game) Undertaker was booked to fight the Dudley Boyz in a handicap match. Of course, that alone wasn't enough to headline a pay-per-view, so they added a stipulation: if 'Taker won, Paul Bearer would be buried in cement.
Why? We're not entirely sure, but if it was to make the audience cringe then it worked a treat. At least in Buried Alive matches the loser is hidden from view as they're covered with dirt; introduce a glass crypt to the equation and things get too weird - even for wrestling.
