Present behind the barrier were WWE legends Bret Hart, Mick Foley, and The Undertaker (accompanied by wife and former WWE Divas Champion Michelle McCool), all of whom were shown on camera, greeting Flair after the bell. Along with Jarrett, Undertaker, Hart, and Foley's appearances are notable as each is currently contracted to WWE.

Speaking of the market leaders, Cody Rhodes, Dolph Ziggler, and Shawn Michaels all had supportive video messages on the show, which was billed as Jim Crockett Promotions Presents: Ric Flair's Last Match. WWE Hall of Famers JBL, Trish Stratus, and Kurt Angle were also involved in this capacity, as well as AEW's Jim Ross and Sting.

Amongst the other notable names to appear were Jerry 'The King' Lawler, Lex Luger, Booker T, and Diamond Dallas Page.

Flair pinned Jarrett with a loosely-applied Figure Four in the main event, having bled heavily to get there, working through several periods where it looked like he was incapable of moving. This was his first match since September 2011.
