9. Undertaker Channels His Inner Thor/Zeus To Scare Kurt Angle
Kurt Angle was never someone who has afraid of, well, anything. He was a wrestling machine and accepted any and all challenges, and didnt care who his opponent was. 500lb giant? Sure. A Stone Cold badass? Bring it on. Nobody in WWE goosed real-life hardman Angle. Nobody, that is, except for The Undertaker. After defending the World Heavyweight Championship successfully against Mark Henry at the 2006 Rumble Royal, The Undertaker came out in a carriage, stared down the Olympic gold medalist and summoned lightning from his fingertips, which struck the monitors above the ring. As Angle looked on, shocked, Undertaker lowered his hands and the same lightning bolts hits the ring, causing it to collapse. The scenes prompted Tazz to utter an infamous 'HOLY S**T!' from ringside. It was an awesome and surprising moment, especially with the ring collapsing. While any skeptic can dismiss that as overly-theatrical, to those willing to suspend their disbelief it was one of those perfect moments that helped to preserve the aura of The Undertaker character. Only he could do something so outlandish in the post-Attitude Era WWE and get away with it with his popularity and credibility still intact. It was also the perfect way for The Undertaker to send a message to Kurt Angle, letting him know that he would be the most difficult challenger Angle had ever faced. Given how The Phenom took Angle to the limit in their subsequent match at No Way Out, the message was received loud and clear.
