9. Undertaker Terrifies Kane

At Survivor Series in 2003, Kane assisted Mr. McMahon in winning a Buried Alive match against the biker version of The Undertaker. It was the last fans would see of the motorcycle-riding Taker, and the last appearance of Mark Calaway for several months. As WrestleMania XX approached, Kane couldn€™t escape a paranormal presence that stalked him during Raw. While fighting Goldberg one night, the lights went out, lightning struck the ring and a weird vignette played while the ring was washed in blue lights. The match would continue for a few more seconds before smoke filled the ring, at which point Goldberg decided that this was getting sillier than his appearance in Ready to Rumble and bailed. Fans ate up the supernatural stuff, and WWE needed to find a way to reintroduce the Deadman, but could you imagine Daniel Bryan returning from a long injury by striking the ring with lightning and filling the ring with smoke? It€™s an example of something working for Taker€™s gimmick, and only that.
