The Young Bucks React To THAT CM Punk AEW Collision Promo
One Bill Phil is the genuine article in a business full of Counterfeit Bucks...
Having yet again caused waves in the industry with his words, CM Punk's return promo from AEW Collision's premiere has already been reacted to by the Young Bucks.
As expected, last night's Collision debut opened with a CM Punk promo. There, the two-time AEW World Champion cut one heck of a promo, but one line in particular got the wrestling world talking.
Referring to Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav, Punk said that Zaslav calls him "One Big Phil". Why's that? Well, as per the Second City Saint, that's because he's the genuine article in a business full of "counterfeit Bucks".
Clearly a line referencing the Young Bucks and alluding to the post-All Out 2022 brawl that saw CM Punk and Ace Steel have an altercation with the Bucks and Kenny Omega, this quip obviously got a hot reaction from Chicago's United Center.
Following this, the Young Bucks have already taken to Twitter to react to the words of the Voice of the Voiceless. And seemingly, Punk's line has been taken light-heartedly by Matt and Nick Jackson.
As is commonplace by the Bucks, they've updated their Twitter bio to mention how, if it were 2018, they'd already have a “Counterfeit Bucks” shirt up for sale on Pro Wrestling Tees.
Given the Young Bucks' playful response to CM Punk's words, some may speculate that these two opposing sides could actually now be on the same page and that the Bucks and Punk may be able to work together at some point in the future.
Of course, that remains to be seen, with the Chicago native set to be the focal point of AEW Collision, while the Young Bucks and Kenny Omega are pencilled in to be major players on AEW Dynamite - as Tony Khan introduces a loose roster split of sorts to his promotion.
