All Elite Wrestling's Evil Uno and Stu Grayson feared losing their jobs at the onset of the ongoing global health crisis.
Interviewed by the Ottawa Sun's Tim Baines over the weekend, The Dark Order duo outlined how they have been handled the stresses of travelling from their native Canada to the United States during the pandemic, revealing that they were worried about being cut from the roster if rendered unable to make television tapings:-
"We travel every two weeks [to Florida] and quarantine in between. We don’t leave our houses; that’s a stress. There was a time where it was very uncertain for both of us because we couldn’t make it to work for several months, so we were at risk of being cut. We didn’t know the scope of what COVID would be like. We also didn’t know what kind of financial hit AEW was going to take. It was stressful at first, but now it feels like the norm. We have deep roots in this area, we helped build up this whole wrestling scene over the past 15 years. We’re still within the decision phase."
Grayson and Uno were both stranded in Canada between March and June. They remain important cogs in The Dark Order to date, with Uno playing a notable role in attempting to recruit Hangman Page to the group on recent episodes of Dynamite.
August saw Sadie Gibbs and Bea Priestley released from AEW as a result of being unable to travel from the United Kingdom to Florida, which is where the promotion tapes. Jimmy Havoc was released at the same time, albeit for different reasons.
