These Wrestlers Just Had Their WORST Match Ever!

Nightmare displays, BROKEN contests, and other wrestlers who just did their worst.

Wrestling is ridiculously difficult and perilous.

So, any performer willing to risk it all for the pop or commit their lives to taking standard back bumps night after night deserves all the respect in the world.

But like any job, sometimes even the most talented, experienced, and inventive workers have a bad day at the office. And in the case of this bunch, they arguably had their worst-ever not too long ago.

It must be said that some of the following terrible displays were little more than a blip, the result of unfortunate miscommunication or poor matchmaking. There are also those recent displays that perhaps point to the legendary folks involved being further past their best than you realised.

And then, you have those utterly baffling showdowns that comfortably sit as the worst entry into an otherwise quite stellar run at the top.

Again, mistakes and botches happen in this chaotic business, and sometimes a match that looked riveting on paper simply doesn't go to plan in reality.

The majority of these gifted wrasslers all thankfully found a way to bounce back in the wake of the horrendous matches to come, too. But that sadly still hasn't erased the memories of these rather dreadful recent showings.

8. Rhea Ripley (Vs. Maxxine Dupri) - WWE Raw, December 11

Throughout her time on top, Rhea Ripley has put in some pretty epic shifts in-between the WWE ropes.

After producing on an absolute ripper against Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania 39, creating magic with Zelina Vega in Puerto Rico, and even wrestling a gem of a contest with Natalya on Raw throughout 2023, it honestly looked like 'Mami' couldn't miss.

But then someone had the bright idea of throwing the hugely inexperienced Maxxine Dupri into a Monday Nightmare on December 11.

With the Alpha Academy member only having a grand total of (checks notes) ONE singles match under her belt coming into the Ripley collision, no one was honestly expecting the pair to put on a clinic.

However, what followed was one of the most uncomfortable squashes of recent times and easily Ripley's worst match on the main roster.

A wonderfully brutal start saw Ripley nail Dupri with a few savage clotheslines, but then came the numerous awkward attempts to powerbomb the latter, a hugely clunky hurricanrana reversal, and the most uncooperative Riptide you've ever witnessed.

Ripley at least looked like a beast when locking in a disgusting Prism Trap for the win, but the damage had been done.

Both performers were set up for failure here, with Ripley gaining nothing from a properly ugly one-sided affair and Dupri's confidence no doubt taking a hit after such a public misfire.
