This Recent WWE Match Made An AEW Star Cry
One of AEW's roster was brought to tears by a recent WWE Raw main event.
Mark Henry has revealed that he broke down in tears watching Monday's main event match on WWE Raw between record-breaking Intercontinental Champion (and Imperium leader) GUNTHER and Chad Gable.
The AEW man told listeners on Busted Open Radio that he was blown away by the "emotions" he felt when watching. Gable and GUNTHER took the former 'Sexual Chocolate' on a ride, and he wishes more matches could make him cry like that one.
In a heartfelt moment, Henry put over how "big and tough" pro wrestlers are portrayed as characters, but also said "we are still people and have feelings". That's why he was swept away by the sight of Gable's young family throwing every punch and kick from ringside.
It was one hell of a story, and Mark had a sweet time watching it.
He couldn't stop the tears from falling again post-match when Chad's daughter started crying. She was visibly upset that her dad couldn't get the job done and win gold, and that tugged at Henry's heartstrings for a second time.
The legend described the entire experience as "fun to watch". Well said!
