Tyson Kidd qualifies for the Money in the Bank ladder match, Sheamus defends his title against Dolph Ziggler and Alberto Del Rio in a gripping World Heavyweight Championship tussle and John Cena hits new lows with his attempts at comedy on Raw. Here is a look at the best and some of the worse stuff from the past week of WWE programming. Superstar of the week: Tyson Kidd After two years of jobbing to main eventers and gormless giants on Smackdown and trading wins and losses on WWE's c-show Superstars, Tyson Kidd was finally rewarded for his efforts this past week on Smackdown as he defeated Jack Swagger to qualify for the Money in the Bank ladder match. Kidd put on a typically electric performance against his opponent in an unpredictable bout filled with eye grabbing high spots and neat counters which once again demonstrated his incredible ring awareness, timing and exhilarating execution of moves. It was also nice to see some passion from him at the end as he enthusiastically embraced a fan and then jumped on the barricade to express his joy. The 31 year old Canadian made his WWE debut in February 2009 and joined forces a few months later with David Hart Smith to form the Hart Dynasty along with their manager and Kidd's real life girlfriend Natalya. The group received a decent push during Bret's return in 2010, winning the Unified Tag Team Titles and competing on several PPVs in tag team competition but since Smith's departure Kidd has rarely competed on the main stage despite a recent show stealing performance in the thrown together multi-man tag match at No Way Out. Whilst Kidd may have just been chosen to compete in the ladder match to perform the majority of the high spots, this is still a great opportunity for him to make a legion of new fans with his athleticism and breathtaking precision and hopefully prove to WWE management that he deserves more chances to shine at an elite level.
