Thunder Rosa is no longer the AEW Women's World Champion - and Jamie Hayter is no longer the Interim AEW Women's World Champion.

Last night's AEW Dynamite saw Renee Paquette confirm that Rosa has agreed to relinquish her championship as her spell on the sidelines continues. Paquette called the situation a "mutual agreement" that came about due to the extent of Rosa's injuries and uncertainty over when she'd return, with Rosa agreeing to forfeit not only for AEW's benefit, but to do the right thing for its women as well.

Jamie Hayter, who defeated Toni Storm at Full Gear 2022, was then introduced as the Women's World Champion for the first time. The "Interim" tag is gone. Following this, Hayter and Britt Baker (billed The Pillar and The Killer) defeated Tay Jay A.S. and Willow Nightingale/Skye Blue in a three-way tag team match.

Rosa has been out of action since August. Forced to pull out of a planned title fight with Storm at All Out 2022 (4 September), her absence led to AEW creating the interim title, strapping it to Toni at the pay-per-view. Pre-Full Gear, Storm called for Rosa to relinquish the original belt if she wasn't able to compete.

It finally happened last night - just not on Toni's watch.
