Following news that William Regal, Brian 'Road Dogg' James, and a host of other behind-the-scenes staff members had been let go by the market-leading promotion, Fightful's Sean Ross Sapp revealed that Thatcher, Burch, and Suzuki were all cut as well.

Burch is a former NXT Tag Team Champions. He and Thatcher had had been working as a trainer after being taken off television in recent months. Suzuki, meanwhile, was better known as Diamond Mine's Hachiman, and combined his own training role with one alongside Malcolm Bivens, Roderick Strong and co. in the sport-like stable.

On top of this, Cathy Corino was released just three months after being brought in as a Performance Center coach, as was writer George Carroll.

WWE has released the following statement on its latest round of personnel cuts:-

“With the continued evolution of NXT 2.0, we’ve decided to part ways with some of the staff based in our Performance Center. We thank them for their many contributions throughout the years and wish them the best.”

The moves appear to be part of a wider developmental shift in WWE, with the full-scale transformation commencing in September with NXT's transition into NXT 2.0 and a complete U-turn in signing policy.

As none of them ever worked full-time on the main roster, Suzuki, Thatcher, and Burch should, theoretically, be bound only to 30-day non-compete clauses.
