TNA Impact: Looking At The "Habeas Corpus Christi" Edition

There's a saying that everything is bigger in Texas and that proves to be true on this weeks impact from Corpus Christi, Texas. We even had the opening shown which never happens, usually on television. And to prove that, Hogan wants to talk to Hardy about his Full Metal Mayhem later tonight. The action begins with the tag team title match two out of three falls as Austin Aries and Bobby Roode battle Hernandes and Chavo. The expectation at least in my opinion, is when two out of three falls happens it's expected to have a long match. However, the first two falls of this match happened within the first five minutes. So why have the stipulation in the first place? If you don't have time for it, why do it? That being said, the match was solid and everybody worked hard. It just felt very expedited. And since it was Texas Chavo and Hernandes go over on the I was expecting a heel turn. However, it got the crowd in a good mood. We go backstage and see Brooke Hogan as she runs into Joey Ryan backstage who wants to be a referee again. She basically says that Joey will not referee anymore because he is gross and she doesn't want him to touch her, but yet she touches him. She also says that later Joey Ryan will have a match later on tonight. Then we go to the arena and Joseph Park comes to the ring, who comes out to a chorus of boos and says that he has Aces and Eights advantage because he drafted annulment papers for Brooke Hogan. This brings out Devon who confronts him ripping up the papers. My question is why not out in the open? Why not try to do in secret like Aces and Eights? We hear from Kurt Angle, who says he made the right decision of having a handicap match with Wes Brisco and Garrett Bischoff. Because that's a smart idea! I'm sure there won't be any interference at all None at all. The Knockouts take center stage as Taryn Terrel battles Gail Kim with special guest referee ODB. Which I loved I hope they do that more because she is one of the most over characters in the division and she deserves a spot not just the every so often we see her. Taryn wins and I guess is moving on to the next challenger even though she's not the knockouts champion. My guess is Tara from last week. We see the Gut Check competitors Adam Pearce and Magno I guess I missed the segment where Pearce gets eliminated And a proves to be a double no for the masked man as well. I just feel bad for Adam because I think he really deserves a spot in the major companies but that's my opinion. Then we get this weeks AJ Styles segment in which Hogan gives an ultimatum at once again interrupted by James Storm before we really hear a decision one way or the other. But this week, there was a wrinkle of bad influence coming out and pitching their case and making this a three team race I guess they want to be a Wolfpack Great segment from the Daniels and Kazarian and of things The segment ends with a match being made for next week between The Cowboy and a Phenomenal one which will be his first match since earlier this year. I am really wondering if Storm is a going to turn to Aces and Eights Because he keeps interrupting. We see a very homoerotic segment with Matt Morgan and Hulk Hogan as the blueprint points out mistakes of the Impact General Manager and gets really close. Joey Ryan gets obliterated by Rob Terry Poor Joey And we get to the main event with Brooke Hogan in the front row. Even though, she said she wouldn't be in the front row last week. Even tearing up the ticket? Besides all that the match was solid, but great There were some sick looking stuff with the ladder sandwich and the backdrop on the ramp, which looked absolutely sick and Hardy is a crazy man. That said, it was a week ending to the match with the of the hammer, but it is what it is I'm just wondering what the next step in the storyline is
