TNA President Carlos Silva Booed At Rebellion (TNA News)
TNA fans turn on Carlos Silva at TNA Rebellion.
Following the largely negative response these past few days to the news that TNA had pulled several talents from previously-advertised matches, that negative sentiment carried over to TNA Rebellion last night.
There, on the Countdown lead-in, TNA President Carlos Silva received boos from the Wolstein Center crowd, giving the slightly strange sight and sound of the TNA President being booed by TNA fans at a TNA PPV.

For those who may have missed it, due to apparent "partner conflicts," TNA pulled X Divison Champion Leon Slater from his advertised WrestleCon match against AEW's Ricochet this coming Thursday. Likewise, Moose was pulled from appearing for Maple Leaf Pro this Friday, and Nic Nemeth's scheduled Create A Pro bout against AEW World Champion MJF on May 1st has been scrapped. For the CAP show, MJF will now issue an open challenge, while Nemeth will face fellow TNA talent Bear Bronson.
This entire situation has attracted criticism from fans, promoters, and wrestlers themselves, including MJF publicly slating Carlos Silva, labelling him "disgusting" and a "dumb motherf**er", and Will Ospreay calling TNA's actions "cowardly". The bulk of that criticism has come from the fact that these matches had been agreed and approved by all parties, were advertised, tickets were sold, only for TNA to change plans.
And now, the biggest talking point coming out of one of TNA's biggest events of the year is that the company's president was booed by the promotion's own fanbase.
In other Rebellion talking points, Mustafa Ali defeated Trey Miguel to become the International Champion, the System's Brian Myers and Bear Bronson won the TNA Tag Team Titles from the Hardys, ODB was announced for the TNA Hall of Fame, and the return of former TNA World Champion EC3 was confirmed. In the main event, Mike Santana retained the TNA World Title against Eddie Edwards in a great match, and Leon Slater and Cedric Alexander put on a really fun match as the Youngest in Charge kept hold of his X Division Championship.
