TNT's Favourite AEW Wrestler Revealed
The network love this guy and no, it isn't who you think...
All Elite Wrestling's television network are huge, huge fans of Orange Cassidy.
This is according to fellow AEW wrestler Joey Janela, who had the following to say when interviewed by Orange Crush: The Journal of Art & Wrestling recently:-
"TNT executives love Orange Cassidy. He has his own AEW commercial. He's the only person on the whole roster that has their own commercial on TNT. So what does that tell you? He's doing something that's working."
This comes on the back of a highly successful night for 'Freshly Squeezed' at AEW Revolution. Sure, the divisive star didn't get the W against PAC, but it was an eye-opening, crowd-popping performance that struck a perfect balance between shtick and workate, with Cassidy's status enhanced in defeat.
It sounds very much the enthusiasm AEW live crowds feel towards Cassidy is shared by TNT - something sure to rankle the man's critics. Subjectively disliking his work is absolutely fine, of course, but the Best Friends affiliate is objectively over as hell and making fans of top network officials bodes well going forward.
