While Johnny Gargano may have exited WWE at the end of last year, Tommaso Ciampa has revealed that he still sees his former DIY partner - and, of course, fierce rival - on a relatively regular basis.

Speaking during an appearance on El Brunch de WWE, the current Raw superstar explained how he misses having Gargano in the same locker room, but that the WWE departure of Johnny Wrestling was one element to why Ciampa was finally happy to move to the main roster.

"I still see him. I miss sharing the locker with him. Honestly, that was a big part, too, of going to Raw. That NXT locker room, with all my best friends, they all left, one at a time. I know more people and more of my friends are on Raw and SmackDown than there are in NXT, so I miss him from that standpoint. I miss a lot of guys from a work standpoint, but that's just part of the game. You're with people every day for six months or a year, and then all of a sudden, different brands or promotions or companies. So it's just part of it. We live ten minutes away from each other and we still see each other, so I don't miss him too much."

Ciampa actually first appeared on the main roster back in 2019 - alongside Gargano, Aleister Black and Ricochet - before fully moving up from NXT this past April. That '19 run saw the Psycho Killer and Johnny pick up back-to-back wins over The Revival and The Bar, before neck surgery forced Ciampa out of action for six months.

Since formally joining the Raw brand last month, Ciampa has been loosely feuding with Mustafa Ali, whilst many have speculated that the two-time NXT Champion could well be the next name to join Edge's Judgment Day faction.
