Two weeks removed from Shinsuke Nakamura and Akira Tozawa's WWE Raw match drawing "CM Punk!" chants, Toni Storm was hit with wrestling's other dreaded crowd call in Phil Brooks' hometown.

AEW Dynamite was in Chicago, Illinois last night, and Storm was hit with "WHAT?!" chants.

Storm was delivering a pre-advertised acceptance speech as part of a ceremonial black-and-white segment, doing so in the wake of recapturing the AEW Women's World Championship at Full Gear 2023 (18 November). Introduced by RJ City and Renee Paquette, Toni approached the promo like she was accepting an Academy Award, reading off a list of thank-yous after hitting the stage with her 'Butler', Luther and Mariah May.

Toni, who did not sound particularly over the building despite her apparent viral popularity, got the "WHAT?!" chants in between sentences, while she was talking to "the little Toni Storms out there." While neither loud nor prolonged, the calls, seen as a universal sign of wrestling rebelling, were clear and audible.

Skye Blue interrupted Storm's exit from her acceptance speech, hitting the ring for a three-way match with Ruby Soho and Anna Jay. That Blue won that contest may suggest an eventual title shot vs. Toni.
