Ever since its inception, NXT's TakeOver events have been solely available to watch on the WWE Network. Now, it appears the 31st edition of the always entertaining showcase will also be available to purchase on PPV for the very first time. PWInsider are reporting that the event will be airing on Verizon Fios for $54.99, however this price could change depending on who your PPV provider is.

It seems strange to offer a PPV for a single $54.99 payment when one month of the WWE Network, which would give you access to the show, only costs $9.99. But, it's still a notable moment nonetheless.

NXT: TakeOver 31 will see Finn Balor defend his NXT Championship against the Undisputed Era's Kyle O'Reilly and NXT Women's Champion Io Shirai attempt to keep hold of her belt in a match against Candace LeRae. Also, Johnny Gargano will challenge Damien Priest for his North American Championship, Santos Escobar will aim to retain his NXT Cruiserweight Championship against Isaiah 'Swerve' Scott, and Kushida will finally get his hands on the Velveteen Dream.

Whether you're watching on PPV or the WWE Network, TakeOver 31 looks set to be a game-changing event.
