Tony Khan "High" On New AEW Stable
A new faction is coming together in AEW - and Tony Khan is high on the idea.
AEW founder and CEO Tony Khan is reportedly high on the new Trust Busters stable, which added to its ranks at this past Saturday's Dark tapings in Orlando, Florida.
Recently released NXT wrestler Parker 'Harland' Boudreaux, ex-ROH man Slim J, and Ariya Daivari (who is now billed as 'Ari') comprise the group. The aforementioned Dark tapings featured a series of segments featuring Ari claiming to be wrestling's richest person now that his trust fund had been activated. Slim J was first to join him, with the duo picking up a tag team win later on, before Boudreaux was interested as the third man.
Per the Wrestling Observer's Dave Meltzer, Khan is yet to make a decision on whether The Trust Busters will primarily work AEW or ROH. Nonetheless, he is "high" on the concept.
Boudreaux, 24, has been a free agent since being let go by WWE during a round of NXT roster cuts on 29 April. An appearance in MLW's 40-man Battle Riot bout was his first match since leaving the market leaders on 26 June.
Daivari, meanwhile, had been working as a WWE producer since April, though his probationary period was recently terminated due to "budget cuts."
