Tony Khan Announces New AEW Rampage Show - AEW Programming Moving To TBS
AEW Rampage announced and given premiere date, as AEW gets set to move to TBS in 2022!
We’ve heard stories for months how a second main AEW show was in the works, and now comes a huge update on that.
Speaking on Busted Open Radio today - as he does most Wednesdays - AEW President Tony Khan revealed three major bits of news pertaining to the future of AEW programming.
Not only is a new AEW show on the way, but we now know that said show will be a one-hour offering called AEW Rampage, will air on Friday nights at 10pm ET, and will premiere on Friday 13 August. For those wondering, WWE SmackDown currently runs from 8pm – 10pm ET each and every Friday.
In another piece of breaking news, Khan also announced that AEW has a new agreement in place with WarnerMedia that will see both AEW Dynamite and AEW Rampage move from TNT to TBS in 2022.
If that wasn’t enough, the AEW Head then detailed how the company will air quarterly supercard specials on TNT as of next year.
This news comes ahead of the WarnerMedia Upfronts later today, with more details likely to be announced once said Upfronts have wrapped up. It was actually during the 2019 Upfronts that WarnerMedia officially announced AEW Dynamite.
Expect to hear plenty more on AEW Rampage, the move to TBS and the TNT quarterly specials as and when more details become available.
