Tony Khan has at least considered the idea of vacating the ROH World Tag Team Championships.

Though the titles are currently held by MJF and Adam Cole, the latter has been unable to compete since 20 September, when he suffered a serious ankle injury. With Cole facing a lengthy period on the sidelines, MJF has defended the straps twice: first against the Righteous two-on-one on 1 December, before aligning with World Title rival Samoa Joe to defeat The Gunns on 18 November.

At yesterday's ROH Final Battle 2023 media scrum, Khan said that while MJF has claimed that the belts are important to him, vacating them isn't out of the question.

Said Tony (h/t ewrestlingnews.com):

“That’s definitely something to look at at some point [vacating the titles]. It’s something MJF said was important to him and Cole, was to try and maintain the belts to when Cole gets back. Obviously, it’s been a long road to recovery from a bad injury, but we’re all excited about having Adam Cole back in AEW as soon as he can come back.”

Continuing, Khan called Cole and MJF a "big success" for AEW/ROH in 2023:

“They are a great tag team for any company and certainly have been a huge part of AEW this year and a big success for us. With Adam Cole and MJF being champions, I think certainly that is something to consider.”

Cole and MJF bested Aussie Open to become ROH Tag Team Champions on 27 August's All In pay-per-view.
