Tony Khan Happy With "Brilliant" New AEW Signing
Tony Khan showers new All Elite Wrestling roster member with immense praise.
Stokely Hathaway has come in for significant praise from All Elite Wrestling president and founder Tony Khan.
29 May's Double Or Nothing 2022 saw Hathaway arrive in AEW. Hitting the ring during Jade Cargill's TBS Championship defence against Anna Jay, his appearance distracted the challenger long enough for Cargill to retain - and signalled Hathaway's new role as Jade and The Baddies' manager. Stokely has since gone through a busy week of AEW television, seconding The Baddies on both Dynamite and Rampage as a feud with Athena appears to be brewing for Cargill.
Khan hit Twitter with praise for Hathaway on Saturday, calling his social media work "amazing content from a brilliant manager", seemingly delighted that he is now with AEW:-
It really just sunk in for me for the first time that @Malcolmvelli’s infamous counterfeit tweets will focus on @AEW from now on. They’ve gone from something I begrudgingly saw as amazing content from a brilliant manager working for the enemy into 2022 AEW canon. This made my day

Hathaway had only been a free agent for a short period prior to joining AEW. Released from WWE, where he worked as Malcolm Bivens, on 29 April, his 30-day non-compete clause expired on the day of Double Or Nothing, allowing him to make the jump.
Signed to WWE in March 2019, Hathway was an NXT 2.0 regular as Diamond Mine's manager at the time of his release. He had reportedly signalled his intention to not sign a contract with extension with the market leaders prior to being let go.
