2023 will be a year of focusing on herself for this under-utilised AEW wrestler.

Ruby Soho has admitted that she needs to "focus on [herself]" in 2023.

The AEW star told Busted Open Radio that she's "absolutely loved every second" of "helping some of the younger girls" on the roster, but she does think it's time to "get some steam behind [herself]" in the new year. That'll pique the interest of anybody who reckons Ruby's All Elite career has stagnated.

She was released by WWE in June 2021 and joined AEW that September. Sadly, following an acclaimed debut at All Out that year, Soho's run started to stutter throughout 2022. She hasn't really come that close to winning any of the Women's Titles on offer in Tony Khan's league since.

Maybe 2023 will be different.

Ruby recognises the need to be slightly more selfish over the next 12 months, because she's eager to make a splash and leave her mark on the AEW scene. In an honest moment, she told Busted Open: "I have a lot to prove".

That's fair, and it'll be fun to see Soho back herself in the new year. Perhaps that elusive AEW Women's or TBS Title reign is incoming after all.
