'The American Dragon' stated as much during the post-show media scrum. Danielson was hurt while working Kazuchika Okada in the pay-per-view's main event, with his doctors anticipating a fractured forearm - and around 6-8 weeks on the sidelines for the Blackpool Combat Club man.

Danielson stated, too, that he had suffered a torn labrum and compressed discs after wrestling MJF in a 60-minute Iron Man match at Revolution 2023 in March. Bryan chalked this off as "typical wrestler stuff", praising AEW's medical team for their assistance with his issues.

Last night was only Danielson's second match since facing MJF on 5 March, having participated in the eight-man Anarchy in the Arena fight at Double Or Nothing 2023 on 28 May.

Danielson defeated Okada at Forbidden Door 2023, tapping the New Japan Pro Wrestling icon out, becoming the first wrestler to do so since Shinsuke Nakamura defeated 'The Rainmaker' in 2015.

The Blackpool Combat Club remain locked in a feud with The Elite on AEW television. Last night, Danielson's BCC stablemates Jon Moxley, Wheeler Yuta, and Claudio Castagnoli, along with Konosuke Takeshita and Shota Umino, were defeated by 'Hangman' Adam Page, The Young Bucks, Eddie Kingston, and Tomohiro Ishii.
