Based on last night's episode of AEW Dynamite, it looks as if Penta El Zero Miedo is undergoing a gimmick change of sorts. Well, to be a little more specific, it looks as if Penta could be revisiting a former persona of his.

For those who missed it, this week's Dynamite featured a vignette where Penta and manager Alex Abrahantes were shown at a graveyard. As Alex repeated his "Penta says" catchphrase over the footage, he explained how Malakai Black's black mist has forced a change in Penta El Zero Miedo, and how Black had spit into Penta's soul.

From there, a dark lucha mask is pulled from a gravesite, Abrahantes proclaims "Rise Penta Oscuro", and the video cuts off as fans hope for the return of Penta Oscuro.

Penta Oscuro, or Pentagon Dark, is the moniker which Penta used, amongst other places, Lucha Underground. A more aggressive, vicious version of Penta than we've seen so far during his AEW tenure, Penta Oscuro is famed for breaking the arms of his opponents.

This all comes on the back of Penta last week having black mist spit into his eyes by the aforementioned Malakai Black, as Penta El Zero Miedo and his Death Triangle cohort PAC lost to the Kings of Black on AEW Dynamite. And now, it appears that Pentagon Dark has put Black and Brody King on notice that he'll be returning to AEW programming with a more savage, brutal persona.
