Top IMPACT Wrestling Prospect Becomes Free Agent
A promising powerhouse just left the IMPACT Wrestling roster.
Jake Something has departed IMPACT Wrestling.
The 32-year-old left the Anthem-helmed promotion after wrestling X-Division Champion Trey Miguel in a well-received match at Sacrifice 2022 this past Saturday. Following the show, Something confirmed his free agent's status:-

Fightful Select reported on the matter on Sunday. Something's last contract with IMPACT had expired on February, though he had one date left to fulfil with the company, hence why he faced Miguel at Sacrifice. Jake wasn't scheduled to be at Sunday's television tapings, though it is believed he would "likely be welcomed back" should he choose to return to the company.
Something's next big move in pro wrestling is currently up in the air, though he had maintained a steady presence on the independent scene throughout his IMPACT run.
A pro wrestler since 2010, when he emerged from the ROH Dojo, Something began making a name for himself on the indies in the mid-2010s, working for such promotions as the Illinois-based AAW. March 2018 saw him introduced to IMPACT audiences as Jake Deaner and he had been with the company all the way through to his departure, having signed his first contract there in April 2019.
