Top IMPACT Wrestling Star To Become Free Agent?
Latest on the IMPACT Wrestling headliner who may soon be on the way out...
In news sure to alert every major wrestling promotion with room on its roster for a multi-talented addition lauded as one of the best North American wrestlers outside of AEW and WWE, Jordynne Grace could be on the verge of becoming a free agent.
Fightful Select reports that as of March, Grace was to hit free agency. The former IMPACT Wrestling Knockouts Champion had signed a two-year extension with the Anthem-helmed promotion in 2021, though Fightful notes the possibility of extensions, raises, and time added on through injury, having previously reported the March departure date.
There is currently no word on whether or not Jordynne has inked a fresh IMPACT deal since 2021.
Grace has been linked heavily with WWE and AEW in the past. An interesting contractual situation developed around her in late 2018, with a paperwork screw-up meaning Jordynne was actually working without an IMPACT contract for a few months. With AEW set to launch and WWE still in the midst of a signing spree, Grace approached the IMPACT office, let them know of the situation, and landed herself a raise in the process.
A two-time Knockouts World Champion, Grace was defeated in a bout for the vacant belt at IMPACT Rebellion 2023 on 16 April, falling to familiar opponent Deonna Purrazzo.
