Chris Jericho told CM Punk that he was a "cancer to the [AEW] locker room" after the infamous post-All Out 2022 brawl.

This is per a new report from Fightful Select. Jericho, the first AEW World Champion, was unhappy with Punk over the fight and the 44-year-old's incendiary comments at the preceding press scrum. Jericho approached the Chicagoan, letting him know that he considers him a locker-room cancer and a detriment to AEW as a whole.

While there's no word on Punk's exact response, it is believed to have been along the lines of telling Jericho that it was none of his business.

A source close to Punk has confirmed the exchange's existence. Jericho and AEW, however, did not respond to the outlet's attempted contact.

Punk currently looks to be on his way out of AEW following All Out, where he and the since-released Ace Steel fought with Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks after Punk verbally attacked The Elite, 'Hangman' Adam Page, and Colt Cabana during the aforementioned press scrum. AEW and Punk are reportedly in talks over a contract buyout - with a potential non-compete period understood to be the sticking point.

Alongside Bryan Danielson and Jon Moxley, Jericho is reported to have grown into a leadership role following All Out, chairing a backstage meeting with Danielson and Mox after the melee.
