Top WWE Official Files Interesting New Trademark Application

Another trip to the USPTO for WWE's trademarking team.

WWE executive Bruce Prichard has filed a new trademark application for "I used to be over" with the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

The mark is to be used for the following purposes:-

IC 025. US 022 039. G & S: Hats; Shirts; Shirts and short-sleeved shirts; Sweatshirts; Hooded sweatshirts. FIRST USE: 20160928. FIRST USE IN COMMERCE: 20160928
IC 041. US 100 101 107. G & S: Entertainment services, namely, providing podcasts in the field of professional wrestling and sports entertainment; Entertainment services, namely, providing video podcasts in the field of professional wrestling and sports entertainment; Providing wrestling news and information via a global computer network; Providing online interviews featuring a professional wrestling and sports entertainment personality in the field of professional wrestling and sports entertainment for entertainment purposes

Prichard filed this application with the USPTO on 21 April. Michael E. Dockins, a frequent collaborator when it comes to tying-up wrestling trademarks, is listed as the attorney of record.

"I used to be over" refers to a catchphrase Prichard got over in the early days of his Something to Wrestle podcast. Presumably, the WWE Senior Vice President is now looking to produce merchandise.
