Top WWE Prospect 'Not Being Discussed' By Creative
Don't expect to see this wrestler get fast tracked to WWE's main roster after all.
The Wrestling Observer is reporting that everything has gone "cold" on Gable Steveson's arrival in WWE.
According to Dave Meltzer, Triple H isn't talking about the Olympian coming in and making a splash on major programming like Raw or SmackDown anytime soon. In fact, 'The Game' has told his writers to focus on other things for the time being.
The interesting thing here is that Trips has been very vocal about his admiration for Gable in the past. Ex-WWE boss Vince McMahon was also high on Steveson, and it looked like the company would make moves to debut him ASAP.
Now, he's not even being discussed as part of creative meetings looking towards WWE's future.
Steveson recently posted pictures of in-ring training sessions he's had with former WWE man Ken Anderson/Mr. Kennedy on his official Instagram page. Gable captioned the photos with lines like, "Been getting active" and, "That time will be here very soon".
He also used the hashtag "#raw" on them.
Gable has been learning some MMA techniques in between pro wrestling classes, so the timing of Dave's claims do come as somewhat of a surprise.
