Fightful Select is reporting that breakout NXT star Sol Ruca will soon receive a slight overhaul before making a splash on either Raw or SmackDown. WWE management will hand the ultra-athletic former Women's North American Champion some flashy new entrance music, and that'll be part of the refreshed package she'll put over following her jump to the main roster.

That leap appears to be imminent.

Sources told Fightful that Sol has run her course on the developmental brand. She signed on with the promotion back in 2022, but injuries meant she didn't really get going until 2024. Since then, Ruca has turned a lot of heads with her work. A lot of people love her snazzy finisher, for example.

These are still early days for the 26 year old, but it's clear she has a real shot at becoming a future player in the women's divisions on Raw or SmackDown. Freshening up her presentation could be helpful, especially if the music WWE hands Sol is good. Of course, that's never a given in the modern era.

Sol Impressed During Main Roster Cameos

Ruca impressed folks backstage whilst appearing as a tag-team star alongside regular partner Zaria on the main roster, but she was always a shoe-in to breakout into a singles run. WWE gave Sol that chance by booking her in a lofty spot opposite Bayley during John Cena's retirement night at the 13 December 2025 edition of Saturday Night's Main Event.

She came out of that show with a ton of credit from fans and critics alike.

Then, Sol entered her first Royal Rumble match over in Saudi Arabia this past January. Her 50+ minute performance saw Ruca eliminate NXT rival Jacy Jayne and last all the way to the final 3 before being tossed out by Tiffany Stratton. It's clear that WWE chiefs have high hopes for her - they wouldn't have booked Sol so strongly if not.
