The WWE Hall of Famer claimed as much in a new interview in a new interview with legendary wrestling journalist Bill Apter. Although Bob said Randy is currently training after a lengthy spell on the sidelines, and feels like he is ready for a comeback, Orton Sr. isn't sure what his son will end up doing.

Per Orton (h/t Wrestling Observer/Figure Four Online):-

"He's training so we'll see what happens. I don't know if he feels like going back. If he feels like he's ready to go back, I think he might. Then again, he's pretty well taken care of. I don't think he needs to and I think the doctors have told him not to. But Randy is going to do what Randy is going to do, he always does."

Randy has been away from WWE since May 2022, having suffered a serious back injury that was expected to keep him out for the rest of the year. Many rumours on his wrestling future have followed since, with the 43-year-old going under the knife shortly after taking the time off.

Dave Meltzer reported in April that WWE didn't want people getting their hopes up that Orton might appear at WrestleMania 39 due to his injury status, as he wasn't ready for a comeback.

Randy last wrestled on 20 May 2022. He and RK-Bro partner Matt Riddle lost their SmackDown Tag Team Championships to The Usos in a Winner Take All Unification match that night.
