Desperate flattery to Rousey continues, WWE are suddenly UFC fans.

Stephanie McMahon has tweeted a photo of herself in a Ronda Rousey T shirt. The caption reads "#andSTILL #Reppin4Ronda #UFC190 @DeFrancosGym @TripleH @RondaRousey" Also in the photo is Triple H, and their trainer Joe DeFranco. They're also wearing the Rousey t shirts. This sign of support comes just hours before Rousey's bantamweight title defence against Bethe Correia at UFC 190. The Champion is heavily favoured to win, despite the fight taking place in Correia's native Brazil. The funny thing about the photo is that WWE were for so long ignorant or negative about UFC. Vince McMahon infamously told CM Punk he thought it was a barbaric sport. As for Hunter and Stephanie, they've never previously indicated that they're fans of MMA. What's actually going on here is WWE's continued effort to push Rousey as a commodity in their own company. They want her to work at WrestleMania 32, although UFC are reportedly negative on that prospect. Rousey is arguably UFC's biggest star, company president Dana White doesn't want to undermine her credibility by letting her do a WWE gig. WWE are keeping her name out there, even mentioning her in the subheading of their front page story on Roddy Piper's death. Not The Rock's tribute or Vince McMahon's tribute, but Ronda Rousey's tribute. It is almost as if they're already under the mentality that Rousey is one of their own.
