WWE's Executive Vice President of Global Talent Strategy and Development spoke out on the matter during a recent appearance on Corey Graves' After the Bell podcast, saying that he'd like the format to become the norm.

"My opinion is my opinion, but I think it was much more enjoyable than the eight-hour extravaganza," said Triple H. "It's just so big that it's almost, when you think about it... it started out as a concert that ended up becoming a festival."

WWE switched WrestleMania 36 to a two-nighter in the midst of the ongoing global health crisis. Their decision was likely influenced by circumstances outwith their control, though many would agree that 'The Showcase of the Immortals' was better for it, with its two three-hour broadcasts infinitely more watchable and digestible than the usual 'Mania marathon.

WrestleMania 37 is currently pencilled-in as a one-night show on 28 March 2021, though everything is up in the air at the moment and recent reports suggest WWE is already thinking about making alternative arrangements.
