Truth Behind AEW's Post-All Out Investigation Stalling
Another update on the post-All Out investigation holding EVERYTHING up in AEW.
Pending legal issues continue to be the biggest thing preventing AEW from taking concrete action relating to its post-All Out 2022 brawl.
Dave Meltzer writes in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that having "heard a decent amount about it this week", threatened legal action stemming from the infamous 4 September fight has stalled "everything."
Nobody had been let go at the time of writing, including producer Ace Steel, who is reported to have bitten Kenny Omega and pulled his hair during the fight. Steel was with CM Punk when Omega and The Young Bucks entered his locker room. This came following the All Out post-show press scrum, where Punk uncorked incendiary comments on the Bucks, Omega, 'Hangman' Adam Page, Colt Cabana, and more.
All parties found to be in Punk's locker room at the time of the fight were immediately suspended. Michael Nakazawa, Brandon Cutler, Pat Buck, and Christopher Daniels have since had their punishments lifted, with an official investigation decreeing that they had tried to break the fight up, not participate in it. Punk, Steel, and The Elite remain sidelined.
There is no telling when this situation will resolve itself - or when/if the involved parties will return to AEW.
