Braun Strowman and Buddy Matthews, the former Buddy Murphy, are seemingly set to arrive in IMPACT Wrestling.

During a livestream on Jade Chung's Twitch channel, IMPACT EVP Scott D'Amore teased the two former WWE stars while attending a baseball game with Chung, Josh Alexander, and George Iceman. D'Amore noted that Murphy will debut "this Thursday", while teasing Strowman in saying IMPACT is on the road to "Braun For Glory".

As far as Murphy is concerned, he won't physically be debuting until at least the middle of September. IMPACT's recent tapings didn't feature the Aussie star in any capacity, though some debut vignettes could suffice. For Strowman, the tease indicates an arrival around 23 October, the date of this year's Bound For Glory pay-per-view, presumably for a marquee match.

Both were released from WWE on 2 June alongside Lana, Santana Garrett, Ruby Riott, and Aleister Black, bringing an end to their respective eight-year careers. As of this writing, neither man is officially linked to a major promotion.

In 2021, a number of recently released WWE names have made their way to IMPACT, including Steve Maclin, Mickie James, Chelsea Green, and Matthew Rehwoldt.
