Heavyweight boxing champion Tyson Fury is in talks with WWE over a potential return.

This is according to GiveMeSport's Louis Dangoor, who learned in March (from Fury himself) that 'The Gypsy King' could potentially return to the market-leading wrestling promotion during summer. Tyson had mentioned working SummerSlam 2022 (30 July) and Clash at the Castle (3 September) at the time. Now, it appears the two parties are in negotiations, with a summer comeback still mooted.

Whether or not an agreement has been reached is currently unclear. Additionally, no plans have been set in stone yet, though any comeback would coincide with Clash at the Castle.

Clash will be WWE's first stadium show in the United Kingdom since SummerSlam 1992. There is no word on whether or not the promotion would have Fury wrestle on the card or simply make an appearance, though he is one of the UK's most prominent sportsmen and would likely raise wider interest for the premium live event.

Fury last competed for WWE at Crown Jewel 2019, defeating Braun Strowman via countout in a poorly-received match. He had previously been rumoured for a match with Drew McIntyre in the future, with the duo taking frequent shots at each other in the media, though McIntyre is now being linked to a Clash showdown with Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns.
