Many fans have openly wondered why there seemed to be such little advertisement for and hype surrounding the seemingly imminent UK launch of the WWE Network. It seems now an answer has been provided as to why there was such little fanfare. WWE announced through their own website that the Network€™s UK debut has been officially postponed. Originally, the WWE Network was to launch in the United Kingdom today, October 1st. Now, the company has said that the Network€™s introduction is being €œdelayed given discussions with potential partners.€ What that actually means is not entirely clear, however, it is clear that the United Kingdom members of the WWE Universe will have to wait for the over-the-top experience. WWE.com did add that €œa launch date will be announced by November 1st.€ The Network will likely not debut in the UK until sometime after that date, meaning it has been postponed by at least a month. While it€™s unclear when exactly the Network will launch, it€™s unlikely that the WWE will want to keep their fans waiting too long. The WWE Network has been a relative success here in the United States, and has since been rolled out in various other international regions -- including Canada. Despite early acclaim and high hopes, the Network brought in an unexpectedly low number of subscribers. With just less than 700,000 paying members prior to June of this year, the Network has failed to reach its expected 1 million subscribers. As WWE€™s over-the-top experience continues to debut in various other markets, the company will likely grow closer to achieving the coveted one million mark. So, fans from the UK, let us know your thoughts on the delayed launch of the WWE Network by leaving a comment below.
